Malachi Jaggers EPK

Malachi's songs blow modern country music backwards invoking nostalgic feelings of historic family ties, railroads, and heartland America. He's forging his own brand of hopeful, relatable Americana, pulling from personal experience to connect with audiences on a deeply human level. His songs are written with a captivating honesty rarely found in modern music. He’s also an open, vulnerable songwriter: From the richly narrative lyrics to the melodic hooks, his work is infused with compassion and authenticity.

In July of 2021 he dropped his dynamic debut EP Fearless. Produced by GRAMMY-nominated engineer/producer Matt Coles. Fearless celebrates the good that can result from adversity.

With his single “An American Hero,” Jaggers conjures the wide open prairies where heartland music was born, weaving an anthem dedicated to those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Inspired by his grandfather, who worked on the railroad and served in the Navy in World War II. In the fall of 2022, “An American Hero” was up for consideration on the GRAMMY ballot along with his most recent single “What Are You Waiting For?”

In 2021, Malachi’s song “An American Hero” was featured on Ditty TV along with a lineup of other well known artist including - Kiefer Sutherland. During the same time, Folk N Rock a publication that has a global audience with a very strong presence in Ireland and the United States also did an exclusive premiere of “An American Hero”.
Malachi’s music has also been featured on Brum Radio an online UK radio station.

Not only does Malachi sing his original music at performances but also covers a vast amount of music from other artists including: The Beatles, CCR, John Mellencamp, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more.

I listened to this album almost nonstop, in my car, for about three weeks. I have nitpicked it to death and I cannot find flaws of any kind. The lyrics are exceptionally well written. The melodies are the perfect compliment to the lyrics and the arrangements are matched by the musicianship. Absolutely perfect mix and production. Period. The songs are reminiscent of the Eagles, Tom Petty, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Seals & Crofts and even Rick Springfield- all while maintaining a unique and original sound. The only thing I do not get about Malachi Jaggers is why he isn’t a signed to a major label and selling tons of records. I can hear it- plain as day. Perfect record.

….I loved the whole CD but if I had to choose one that really spoke to me it would be ‘Good Old Days’. I miss the Good Old Days, the last couple years after losing my dad, and some other trials that caused grief on top of grief. I felt the words. And this song brought comfort, I’m thankful for the Good Old days. I have always appreciated the heart behind Malachi’s music. And excited for this new CD!!
